FEPEX is structured around a general assembly, government commission and committees for products.

General Assembly is the main action body and convenes twice a year. It is compose by presidents of the Associations and presidents of Committees. The Assembly elects the position of the chairmen and the three Vice-chairman every two years.

In accordance with indications of statutes, the General Assembly is constituted by all Fepex`s membership. It is the highest organ of the Federation and its agreements, adopted in accordance with the statutes and the Regulation of Internal Order, are obligatory for all its associates.

The Government Commission is the representative organ of the ordinary government of the Federation. It has the wider faculties, with the exception of matters reserved for the General Assembly or matters that have been directly delegated so by the different Committees, regarding issues that they deal with.

The responsibility of the Commission of the Government is to adopt necessary decisions and so to carry out actions that contribute to achieving the objectives of the Federation in line with the main principles of the General Assembly.

FEPEX is structured around Committees of different products, which studies real issues that affect each product and where necessary measures are adopted to improve or protect their position in the market.

Among the measures that the Committees of the Sector highlight are the following:

• Measures about the management of the supply, which includes the actions directed to improve production and exportation.

• To lay down the needs of information and other services that the associations and the companies demand, in order to do a continuous monitoring of campaigns, such as daily prices, the situation of each market, volume of marketed production, the situation of the competition, etc.

• Adoption of agreements with other organisations, generic promotion, communication activities and, in general, any action aimed to strengthen the position of producers in the market and to improve the level of marketing.

The Committees of the Sector that are constituted as part of FEPEX are autonomous in their working, and primarily committed to the following:

• To study the problem areas of the products of their group.

• To adopt the decisions made and to carry out the proposals directed toward improving the conditions of production, marketing or promotion of its products, so as the carrying out of the specific proposals necessary for the achievement of these aims.

• To represent its members in its private bodies, public and semi-public, professional, Spanish, foreign or supranational in the managing of matters that refer exclusively to the interests of the Group in which they represented.

The main Committees formed in FEPEX are of tomato, pepper, lettuce, cucumber, asparagus, broccoli, various vegetables, potato, strawberry, watermelon, melon, peach and nectarine, grape, various fruits, tropical fruits, flowers and ornamental plants and live plants (fruits, vine and forests) and Ready to use Fresh Vegetable.
